If you notice any issues, typographical errors, or incorrect information or have suggestions for updated or additional content, please feel free to let us know using the Contact Us forms.

The content provided here regarding handling of dog-related concerns within Mariners Cove is based on information distributed to residents by the ELS community management.

Situations to Report

  • Dogs not on a leash where required.
  • Excessive or ongoing barking. See ACS’s Nuisance Barking Dog for more information.
  • Aggressive behavior or dogs running at-large.
  • Dogs left unattended for hours.
  • Unsanitary conditions, including not cleaning up after pets.

Emergencies

If a dog is acting aggressively or someone is in immediate danger, please call 911.

Reporting

Animal Control Services (ACS) would like the witness/resident to report incidents directly to them rather than to park management.  Once you have contacted ACS, then also please contact the Mariners Cove office so that incident can be documented by ELS as well. You will need to supply the office with the ACS report that was filed by you for further investigation.

How to Report

Contact ACS at 302-255-4646. Alternatively you can report a code violation using the ACS online form to file a first complaint or a follow up complaint. ACS provides a separate online form to specifically report nuisance dog barking, available at ACS’s Nuisance Barking Dog . Be ready to provide documentation, video, pictures, etc. Also, after making the report, you must be willing to appear in court if necessary.
